Public Hospital Bed Charges - Know your rights:
If you are admitted into a public hospital through A&E as a private patient you will be asked to sign a Private Insurance Patient form. This form asks you to waive your rights to public treatment in a public hospital. If you sign your health insurance company will be charged €813 per night compared to €80 if you didn't sign the form.
